The Wolf Point Wolves downed Poplar in straight sets during a home volleyball match on Friday, Oct. 1. Wolf Point won the conference match by a 25-11, 25-13, 25-12, final. Sierra Hamilton scored five kills and six blocks for the Wolves. J’Elle Garfield added five kills. Katelyn McDonald accounted for a solid match with eight aces and five digs. Kylie Rodenberg finished with 17 assists.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released its environmental impact statement in late September regarding a plan that officials feel would benefit the endangered pallid sturgeon. The plan calls to increase water releases from Fort Peck Dam in the spring. The financial impact could be in the millions of dollars due to loss of irrigation water from farmers in the region. “It’s a really
