Grant To Help Student’s Path For Art Career
Wolf Point High School freshman Sophia Fourbear recently received a great chance to enhance her artistic skills by earning a grant to attend the Gabriel Coke Art Camp this summer in Saratoga, Calif.
Fourbear is a recipient of a $7,500 grant from the Kaj Seifert Foundation. Fourbear said the grant will cover supplies, lodging, fuel expenses and food for the oil painting workshop that will last
Students Place In Optimist Club Essay Contest
Wolf Point High School senior Cole Boysun recently won the Optimist Club of Wolf Point’s essay contest based on the theme of “How Acts of Kindness Help Me Understand What My Community Means To Me.”
Boysun was awarded $300 for the honor. In addition, the essay will be sent to the district level club in Regina, Canada, to be judged along with winners from other Optimist Clubs in the district,
Optimist Club Announces Local Scholarships
This year, the Optimist Club of Wolf Point is prepared to present more funds than ever before through its scholarship program.
Local officials said that the amount received will be $500, an increase from $300. One senior boy and one senior girl from Wolf Point High School will be presented the awards.
Entry deadline is May 18. The scholarships will be presented at the graduation ceremony
