Brockton dropped its basketball games against Fairview and Circle during the week. Brockton’s boys lost to Fairview, 67-33, on Saturday, Jan. 30. Fairview led 23-0 at the end of the first quarter. Top scorers for Brockton were Treydyn Bauer with 15 and Allen Russell with 12. Adding three points each were Wambidi Yellow Hammer and Quannah First That Walks. Brockton lost to Circle, 43-24.

The Frazer Bearcubs suffered defeats against Scobey and Wolf Point’s JVs during basketball play last week. Frazer’s boys lost by a 73-24 final against Scobey on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Jared Krebs was recently hired as the new Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks eastern district fisheries management biologist in Glasgow. Krebs, originally from Minnesota, holds both a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from St. Cloud State University and a master’s degree in fisheries from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Mikaya Smoker-Dewitt is enjoying her senior year at Wolf Point High School. One of the activities that she likes most is working on the yearbook staff. She says it’s her favorite class. “I’m a senior and we’re working on a slideshow for graduation,” Smoker-Dewitt said. Her favorite teacher is Dan Horsmon. One of her best activities is volleyball where she was a force for the
