Camping Day Set For Thursday

The traditional Wadopana celebration is coming up Aug. 5-7 in Wolf Point. Grand entries are scheduled Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Camping day is Thursday, Aug. 4. Arts and crafts stands, toy stands and food stands will be on offer. The daily flag raising will be at 8 a.m.

Darcey Anaquod will be head man dancer. Imogen Lilley will be head woman dancer. Riley Smith is princess; Renee Smith, junior princess; Arielynn Moran, mini princess. Darrell Ricker is flag bearer.

A community feed is planned Thursday at 5:30 p.m., followed by a youth pow-wow at 7:30 p.m. A memorial breakfast in honor Sandra Lilley is set for Saturday morning and a fun run/walk is planned for 8 a.m. Youth games are planned for Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.

Drums and dancers will receive donations daily. Security will be on the grounds at all times. No alcohol or drugs will be allowed on the campgrounds. Contact Julie Christian at 406-650-8724 or Leslie Berge at 406-650-0636 for more information.
