Lady Wolves Return Volleyball Starters

With a strong core of starters back, the Wolf Point Wolves anticipate being near the top of the District 2B volleyball standings this season. “We have a lot of upperclassmen on the team,” firstyear head coach Karli Mc-Gowan said after the team’s first practice on Friday, Aug. 12. The program features 24 girls including six seniors, five juniors, five sophomores and eight freshmen.

Quality rather than quantity is the word for Wolf Point’s cross country program this season. The squad opened its season with practice on Friday, Aug. 12. At the first practice, Wolf Point’s boys’ team featured junior Peyton Summers and senior Kelby Bauer. There weren’t any girls at the initial practice. The Fort Peck Community College held its 24th annual golf tournament at the Wolf Point Airport Golf Club on Saturday, Aug. 13. The four-person scramble attracted a full field of 26 teams.
