A Wolf Point woman who admitted to assaulting a toddler on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 8, to 34 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said last week. Shelby Loves Him, 23, pleaded guilty in May to an indictment charging her with assault resulting in serious bodily injury and felony child abuse.

Montana will receive more than $6 million as part of a multi-state settlement with e-cigarette manufacturer JUUL.
