Brush Lake State Park To Remain Closed Until May 15
Brush Lake State Park, Region 6’s only state park, is not yet open for day-use or camping, and will remain closed through May 14, opening on May 15. Normally, the park is open May 1 to Nov. 1. The gate into the park is signed and locked at this time.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced dayuse and multi-purpose recreation areas around Fort Peck Lake opened May 1 to normal activities, following physical distancing and group limitations to reduce spread of COVID-19.
The opening applies to all USACE-managed sites, such as: McGuire Creek, Nelson Creek, Devils Creek, Crooked Creek, Fourchette Bay, Bonetrail, Pines and multi-use recreation

This position works closely with local, state, federal, and tribal law enforcement and families on missing person cases, and was created by the 2019 Legislature as part of Hanna’s Act (House Bill 21).

The Optimist Club of Wolf Point has set a goal of making a mile of pennies leading up Sixth Avenue North. The attempt will be made Sunday, June 7. Event organizers Helen Welte and Gloria Sande say they will start laying the first coins along the route at 2 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go to the group’s childhood health and wellness fund.
According to the group’s promotional flyer,
