Fire Involves 50-75 Acres Near Poplar
About 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, three BIA engines plus Brockton and Poplar volunteer fire departments responded to the “Highway 480” wildfire in a riparian area by White Shield Island along the Missouri River west of Highway 480 and south of U.S. Highway 2.

Wolf Point Conducts Graduation Ceremony
Wolf Point High School’s Class of 2021 looked forward to the future as commencement exercises were held in the school gym on Sunday, May 30.
Principal Kim Hanks noted that the class featured many talented students including musicians, actors, athletes, scholars and future military personnel.

Wolf Den is offering affordable clothes and additional items at its location at 233 Highway 2 East in the former Fort Peck Community College Wellness Center.
“I’ve always based on what I do on what the community needs,” owner Erik Johannessen said. “I want people to have a place to go to get things affordably.”
