Roosevelt County voters are reminded that because of a lack of candidates, municipal elections are not needed on Nov. 7. Five individuals filed for council positions in Wolf Point. The candidates are incumbents Laurie Evans in Ward 1, Craig Rodenberg in Ward 3 and Carrie Manning in Ward 4. Ken Hentges filed for a spot in Ward 2. Current Ward 2 council member Jeff Wozniak filed as a write-in

Defendants Receive Sentences In District Court

Several individuals were sentenced during hearings held in district court on Tuesday, Oct. 24. James Trevor Brown changed his plea to guilty for fourth or subsequent DUI and had his criminal endangerment charged reduced to negligent endangerment. With a divisional berth on the line, Froid/Lake earned a straight set victory over Culbertson at the District 1C volleyball tournament in Plentywood on Saturday morning. The Red Hawks scored a 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 win over Culbertson.
