Culbertson High School senior Gavin Raaum has been a solid member of the school’s pep band throughout the years. He has played the tuba since the sixth grade. He also plays the sousaphone. In addition, Raaum has performed in several music festivals. “It’s gone all right,” he said of the festivals. Recently, he was picked for the District 12 honor band and choir festival held in Glasgow.

Area FFA programs competed at the ag sales and floriculture meet in Lambert on Monday, Feb. 23. In the individual rankings, Culbertson’s Felixe Becker took fourth and Ivy Colvin placed seventh. Calvin Steppler took 18th and Catherine Donaldson was 20th. Bainville’s Lane Giese and Rowan Wilson tied for 10th place. Scarlet Mahoney was 16th and Parker Berwick took 26th. Froid’s Lily
