Melvin Clark Hanson went to join his loving bride of 63 and ½ years and enter into the loving presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1929, in Scobey, Mont., to Roy and Gwen Hanson and grew up with three brothers: Bob, Red and Gary. Melvin’s family moved to Wolf Point in 1931, and he continued to live there until 1977, when he moved to Kalispell to manage the Cardinal Hardware Store in Evergreen. Melvin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia; his parents; and all three brothers. He is survived by his 11 children: Mel in Bigfork, Mike in Kalispell, Mary in Wolf Point, Kristin in Canton Ohio, Kate in Kalispell, Bob in Bozeman, Monica in Malta, Judy in Kila, Rich in Kalispell, Diane in Kalispell and Deb in Kalispell; his 31 grandchildren; and 37 great grandchildren. Arvid Moe, 89, formerly of Wolf Point, died Sept. 19, 2021, in Billings. He was born in Wolf Point in 1932 to Carl and Gloria Moe. Prior to his relocation to Billings in 1992, he lived in Wolf Point for 60 years. Arvid and his wife, Ardine, were married 70 years and raised four children in Wolf Point: Tracy of California, Jerilyn of Billings, Kelly of Washington state and Ty of Billings. No services are being planned.
