Poplar Boys Outscore Dodson, 71-41

The Poplar Indians rolled to a 71-41 boys’ basketball victory over Dodson on Saturday, Jan. 8.

“Defensively, we are doing things a lot better as far as our assignments and areas that we cover,” Poplar Coach Gib Medicine Cloud said. “We’re playing with more energy.”

Delray Lilley led the Indians with 27 points in the non-conference win.

Xander Steee scored nine, Dennis Red Eagle added eight and Preston Ogle had eight. Geordy Medicine Cloud finished with seven points.

“Offensively, there’s a lot more ball movement,” Coach Medicine Cloud said.

The Indians will host Malta on Friday, Jan. 14, and will head to Glasgow on Saturday, Jan. 15.

“Our game is evolving every week,” Coach Medicine Cloud said.
