He feels he’s been more of a positive influence at the school than he was in previous years. “I’m a better person than I used to be. My advice is to work hard in life,” Azure said.
His favorite school activity is basketball where he has been a varsity player for the past two seasons.
“It’s fun and I enjoy playing it,” Azure said. “I like the coaches.”
With him starting for the boys’ team and twin sister, Jaylee, starting for the girls’ squad, there’s a lot of games on their minds.
“We try to push ourselves and make each other better,” Jaxon said. “I like watching her play.”
Being one of four seniors on the team, he enjoys the responsibility of holding a leadership role. “There’s more expected this year as far as being a leader,” he said. “
He competed in cross country during his first three years in high school but decided not to participate as a senior.
“I didn’t like it too much. I don’t like long distance running,” Azure said. “I did pretty good though.”
He is undecided about his plans after high school. One possibility he is considering is joining the military.
