Red Hawks Go Into Overtime In Title Game Against Fairview
In a thrilling classic district championship game, Fairview posted a 49-47 win over Froid/Lake at the District 2C boys’ basketball tournament on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The Red Hawks entered the fourth quarter with a 29-28 lead and gained a 34-32 advantage in the fourth quarter thanks to five points by Joey Boyd.

Cowgirls Battle In Title Contest
Culbertson’s girls’ basketball team put together an outstanding effort but lost to top-seeded Plentywood, 38-31, in the District 2C championship game in Sidney on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The Cowgirls trailed only 9-8 at the end of the first quarter and Culbertson earned a 15-14 half-time advantage.
Plentywood gained a 22-20 advantage in the third quarter. The Wildcats then scored 16 points
Red Hawks Stop Plentywood, 61-48
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks enjoyed an excellent shooting night and stopped Plentywood, 61-48, in the semi-final round of the District 2C boys’ basketball tournament in Sidney on Friday, Feb. 17.
The contest was deadlocked at 7-7 early, but five points by Mason Dethman and a three-pointer by Patton Bighorn provided Froid/Lake with a 15-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
