Dash Takes First In Williston


Asher “Dash” Hauenstein placed first in 50cc races at De Fort Motocross in Williston, ND, June 26-27. At a qualifier in Freestone, Texas on June 19-20, Hauenstein pushed himself into the top 10 out of 38 riders, proving his riding capabilities at the national level against some of the country’s fastest racers in the 50cc 4-6 class. Frederick Voted To Sheriffs’ Board


Roosevelt County is going to be represented on the board of directors for the Montana Sheriffs and Peace Officers. Sheriff Jason Frederick was one of five sheriffs in the entire state that was voted to the board during the organization’s convention held in Butte earlier this month. Fort Union Rendezvous Returns


Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site saw the return of the annual fur trade Rendezvous June 17-20. Last year’s event was held virtually. Leif Halvorson told the Community News that attendance was below pre-pandemic figures at approximately 2,100 visitors. He said previous years have seen in excess of 3,000 visitors typically.
