Poplar’s girls’ basketball team put together a strong second-half effort to beat Harlem, 55-40, in Poplar on Friday, Jan. 23. The Indians led by only a 30-28 half-time margin, but a basket by Braelyn Nordwick off a pass from Cammie Martell helped Poplar increase the gap to 37-32 during the third quarter.
