Poplar Girls Fight Off Wolf Point


Poplar’s girls’ basketball team enjoyed a strong start and defeated Wolf Point, 60-29, to clinch a divisional berth during the District 2B tournament in Glasgow Friday. With the score even at 2-2, the Indians struck for 10 straight points on five points by Braelyn Nordwick, a three-pointer by Mattie Ayers and a steal and layup by Cammie Martell. Olson Runs To Conference Titles In 200, 400 Dashes


Wolf Point native Jewel Olson recently won North Star Athletic Association indoor track championships in two sprints. Olson, a senior, finished first in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Olson broke the conference indoor record in the 400 with a time of 57.42 seconds. Olson holds Wolf Point High School records in both the 200 and 400. She won Class B state titles in both sprints
