Students Gain Knowledge During Children’s Theatre


Nearly 50 young actors and actresses took part in this year’s Missoula Children’s Theatre production in Wolf Point last week. Funds from the Wolf Point Education Association along with local donations make the program available in the community. Local donors included the Wolf Point Optimist Club, Patricia and John Toavs, Wolf Point junior/ senior concessions and the Wolf Point community.

Nygard Earns Professional Accomplishments


Through hard work and dedication, Wolf Point Schools’ clerk and business manager Cheri’s Nygard recently was awarded for professional accomplishments. Nygard, who has served as the school district’s clerk since 2011, earned certification through the Montana Association of School Business Officials. She received her plaque for the accomplishment during the Wolf Point School Board meeting

The Lady Wolves compiled 92 points to grab third-place honors at the District 2B track meet held in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 15. New Montana State Record Walleye Caught


Montana anglers have landed six new state record fish since last August. On May 10, Trevor Johnson of Helena added a seventh whopper to that list when he reeled in a nearly 3-foot-long walleye from Holter Lake near Helena. Johnson’s fish weighed in at 18.02 pounds on a certified scale, measured 32.25 inches in length, and 22 inches in girth. He caught the record-setting fish on a jig. The previous

The top teams were Glasgow’s girls and Wolf Point’s boys. Tyler Pribbernow, a senior, enjoyed a standout performance for the Indians. Lustre Boys Take Third At District


By Bill Vander Weele Lustre’s boys’ track team earned third place in the team standings at the District 3C track meet held in Wolf Point on Saturday, May 15. The Lions finished with 73 points. Scobey took first with 219 points and Hinsdale placed second with 136 points. In the girls’ division, Whitewater took first with 131 points followed by Scobey with 120 and Saco with 100. Lustre
