The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved the Atkinson subdivision, as long as recommendations are made, during a special meeting on Tuesday, April 26. The property is located two miles east of Poplar. Approval of the subdivision will allow for a proposed Family Dollar/ Dollar Tree store. Commissioners don’t know of any timeframe for the construction of the proposed new store.
