The Roosevelt County commissioners recently sent a letter to Gov. Greg Gianforte with the request of assistance in purchasing the National Guard Armory building in Culbertson. It was announced in June 2024 that soldiers who are part of Detachment 1, 260th Engineer Company in Culbertson will consolidate with the rest of the unit and attend drills in Miles City or Billings no later than December

The Poplar Tribal Elves entertained their community again on Tuesday night with the help of adult volunteers and school personnel. Staff from Poplar School took the basketball court against the Tribal Elves’ adult volunteers. The trick was that they had to wear inflatable outfits, looking like dogs, during the game. The school staff ended up winning the entertaining contest by a 24-15 margin.

Gary Johnson, treasurer of the Wolf Point Lions Club, presents a check for $9,977.35 to Wolf Point public works director Ed Bach. The funds are for repairs at the Wolf Point swimming pool. Of the funds, $3,200 are matching funds from Independence Bank. (Photo submitted)
