Gonzales Changes Plea To Guilty
A man involved in a high speed chase between Wolf Point and Poplar during September changed his plea in district court on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
As part of a plea agreement, Raul Hernandez Gonzales made guilty pleas to the charges of criminal endangerment, fleeing or eluding a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.

Temps Expected Higher Than Normal For Month
The weather ready briefing for eastern Montana and northern Wyoming was conducted by National Weather Service staff Luke Arends of Billings and Scott Rozanski of Glasgow last week.
The forecast through Feb. 5, is leaning toward likely above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation for the area.
Arends said that for the month of February, forecasts are leaning above normal temperatures

On Sunday and Monday Jan. 2223, they provided an opportunity to hear from motivational speaker and musician Yvonne St. Germaine, one night in Poplar and another in Wolf Point.

TEB Approves Buffalo For Vets, Voting Access
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 22. Among numerous procedural votes, the board passed a resolution to replace a furnace in the Lords Table Church utilizing ARPA funds in the amount of $3,000.
Mike Olson was approved as housing board commissioner for Fort Kipp; Joellen Grandchamp for Oswego and Michael Redstone for Frazer.

Brockton Falls Short Against Plentywood
Brockton dropped both basketball games held in Plentywood Friday, Jan. 26.
In the boys’ game, Plentywood won by a 74-48 final. Plentywood got out to a 20-4 start in the first quarter and held a 44-19 half-time advantage.
Jarid Fast Horse led Brockton with 12 points.
