The sophomore combination of Megan Granbois and Makena Hauge was too much for the Richey/Lambert Fusion to handle as Culbertson’s girls won by a 62-34 margin at the District 2C basketball tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Granbois scored 32 points and Hauge accounted for 23 points in the loser-out contest. The Cowgirls trailed 9-8 in the first quarter before two straight baskets by Granbois.

Bainville’s girls’ basketball team saw its season come to an end against Savage, 59-40, during the District 2C tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The Bulldogs trailed by only an 11-10 margin at the end of the first quarter. Sadie Ullmer scored six of Bainville’s points in the first quarter. Bainville led by a 19-18 margin in the second quarter until Savage struck for the final 11 points

Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball squad opened its district tournament play with a 62-19 victory over Brockton on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The Red Hawks exploded for 21 points in the first quarter to gain a 21-2 advantage. Bode Miller accounted for eight points including two three-pointers in the quarter. Tyler Wivholm added two three-pointers. Froid/Lake enjoyed a 39-4 half-time lead. Mason Dethman
