Caps Off To Froid Art Students


Froid High School’s ninth and 10th grade art students recently completed a colorful and fun art unit on recycling. Froid art teacher Maria Gallegos led the classes through a cup recycling project by first showing videos on how paper cups are made. Students learned that paper cups are a one-time-use item that most people use once and throw away; usually after less than 10 minutes of use.

Gustafson Named Class C Drama Coach Of The Year


Culbertson’s Jeri Gustafson was selected Class C Drama Coach of the Year following the conclusion of a season marked by a global pandemic. “I have coached for 28 years and this has most certainly been the most difficult season ever,” said Gustafson in a March 13 social media post. “But, with the grit and determination of all of the coaches and teams across the state, we had a season!”

The Culbertson track program is enjoying an excellent turnout of 31 athletes to start this season. Coach Dave Solem said this is the program’s best numbers in 17 years. The Bainville Bulldogs have 10 athletes out for the school’s track team this season. Because the state didn’t have track last year due to COVID concerns, there isn’t a lot of high school experience available for the Bulldogs. Kaden Hansen, a senior, is the only current member who was on Bainville’s track team two years ago. Hansen is expected to be one of the top throwers in the district
