Shot clocks and baseball were given approval during the Montana High School Association’s annual meeting in Butte on Monday, Jan. 17. Schools voted the addition of 35-second shot clocks for boys’ and girls’ basketball. In addition, baseball was approved as a sport for the Montana High School Association. Twenty-eight Yellowstone bison were transferred to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation Jan. 13. The transfer was part of a program to divert more disease-free bison away from slaughter. Montana gas prices have fallen 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.36/g on Monday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 615 stations in Montana.
