Wolf Point will host the annual Elks Hoop Shoot starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov.6, in the Wolf Point High School gym. The first 30 participants will receive a free drawstring bag and water bottle. The Culbertson Cowboys will host Lone Peak for a football clash in the first round of the playoffs at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Lone Peak took fourth in the south central conference behind Drummond, Ennis and Cascade. Culbertson enters as the top seed from the Eastern division. The Cowboys are looking for better results after dropping their first-round playoff contest a season ago.

Federal lawmakers and agencies heard directly from Montanans about what’s impacting their farms and ranches during National Farmers Union’s 2022 Fall Legislative Fly-In held Sept. 11-14 at the nation’s capitol. Fourteen members of Montana Farmers Union joined with more than 250 other producers from around the country for the event that featured briefings with the White House, the USDA
