There will be a primary election for two non-partisan primary elections in Roosevelt County on June 4. Both the county attorney and District II county commissioner races feature three candidates. The Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office responded to 49 calls from March 18-25. March 18 Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with a report of an adult male threatening a female with a machete. Law enforcement searched the area and didn’t find the male. Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department with a report of a male and female arguing on Idaho Street.

The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board voted to conduct a hearing regarding an ethical complaint against board member Stacey Summers. After much discussion, the board approved a resolution on Monday, March 23, by a 7-4 margin to conduct the hearing.
