The Bainville Town Council held a special meeting Monday, Sept. 26. The council met to discus a recommendation from attorney Laura Christoffersen regarding the rescinding of sewer impact fees paid by town residents. Residents who paid impact fees dating back to Nov. 2015 will see a refund of those payments if a resolution is passed by the council. The total sum to be refunded is $7,030. The council

Kids and families looking for Halloween fun will be glad to note that Trunk or Treat festivities are planned at the old armory building again this year. The date set for the event is Oct. 30. A bake sale and other activities are planned from 1-3 p.m. with tables of goodies from area businesses and organizations. There is a “battle of the bands” theme planned. Admission is free.
