St. Anthony Catholic Church is hosting a fall dinner Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Culbertson School cafeteria. Turkey and all the trimmings will be served and takeout is available. November is National Scholarship Month, and nonprofit Reach Higher Montana is celebrating all month long with its annual Stick with Scholarships Campaign. The campaign encourages all Montana high school students to place a student- designed Reach Higher Montana sticker on an appropriate surface, such as a water bottle or book cover, snap a photo, and share it on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.

Wolf Point will host the annual Elks Hoop Shoot starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov.6, in the Wolf Point High School gym. The first 30 participants will receive a free drawstring bag and water bottle. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a national free throw shooting contest that has taken place for 50 years. The contest is open to youngsters 8-13 years old. The event is free to enter. The three age groups

The Culbertson Cowboys will host Lone Peak for a football clash in the first round of the playoffs at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Lone Peak took fourth in the south central conference behind Drummond, Ennis and Cascade. Culbertson enters as the top seed from the Eastern division. The Cowboys are looking for better results after dropping their first-round playoff contest a season ago.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking public comment on several proposals slated to go to the Fish and Wildlife Commission in December. Comment is open through Nov. 18.
