Thousands of Montana taxpayers have already successfully claimed and received property tax relief. The Montana Department of Revenue has received over 197,000 rebate applications. The Montana Property Tax Rebate provides qualifying Montanans up to $400 of property tax relief on a primary residence for tax year 2024. Without any major changes from last year’s budget figures, the Roosevelt County Commissioners adopted the 2025-2026 budget during a hearing conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 3. The budget features a slight increase in county wide property taxes. The Roosevelt County commissioners accepted two bids for gravel during their meeting held last week. One bid was 40,000 tons at $3.25 per ton plus $1.15 landowner royalty stockpiled north of Poplar for a total of $96,800. The other bid accepted was from Bishop Inc. for 20,000 tons to be crushed and stockpiled at the Picard Pit with a mobilization fee of $15,000 for a total of $125,000. Commissioners

The bridge is located north of Bainville on County Road 1010 by Shotgun Creek.
