Commencement festivities were held at Brockton High School May 17. The graduating class was eight students strong. Superintendent Joshua Patterson was master of ceremonies and Dale Four Bear delivered the opening prayer. Seventh graders from Culbertson visited Ike’s Fishing Pond & Waling path May 21. Marc Kloker, Jared Krebs and Cody Hayden from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks were on hand to sample fish and declared the pond a healthy habitat for its population of perch and trout. The Froid community held their annual Arbor Day celebration and tree-planting ceremony Tuesday, May 14 at the town park/playground area. Tyler Harris and the students from Froid School helped plant two more trees. Harris also read the proclamation in the absence of Mayor Sheri Crain. The students all had the chance to learn some fun Arbor Day facts. The younger students enjoyed the playground equipment.
