U.S. Attorney Visits With Officials In Poplar
Kurt Alme, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana, made stops in Poplar and visited with officials on Thursday, June 5.
Alme was appointed as the interim U.S. attorney by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi in March. His experience includes serving as an assistant U.S. Attorney in Montana from 2003 to 2010 and First Assistant U.S. Attorney from 2006 to 2010.

33 Volunteers Receive Awards On 33rd Anniversary Of Airmen Memorial
Thirty-three Blaine County residents and former residents were honored in a presentation ceremony on May 25. Staged at the Airmen Memorial in Harlem, the assembly watched as Brigadier General Trace N. Thomas conferred upon these volunteers, the United States Air Force Commander’s Public Service Award.

TEB Makes Decision On Health Services During Meeting
By the slimmest of margins, the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board turned down a resolution to contract Indian Health Service’s programs beginning on Dec. 1.
The vote for the resolution ended in a 6-6 tie among TEB members. Vice chair Charles Headdress broke the tie by voting against the motion.
