County Commissioners Approve Task Orders

Roosevelt County commissioners approved three task orders with Interstate Engineering during their weekly meeting held on Tuesday, April 21. The first task order was regarding a preliminary engineering report for Brockton’s water system. The report will cost a total of $95,000, but a grant covers $90,000 of the project. Another Task order deals with preparing a permit for Picard Pit #2.

Both Weeks-O’Neal and FourStar are Democrats. The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2. No Republicans have filed for the position. The Wolf Point Community Organization approved a budget on Monday, April 20, to increase its giving in the community for the coming year. WPCO chairman Jason Hamilton told members that the board proposed to increase the budget from the $163,000 figure from last year to $183,000 for the new year. The increases included going from $40,000 to $50,000 for youth programs and an additional $10,000

The Montana Highway Patrol was unable to provide a press release to the media at press time.
