Fowler Faces Two Drug-Related Charges
Dale Robert Fowler is facing the charges of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, meth, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia in Roosevelt County District Court.
According to court documents, Roosevelt County Sheriff Office’s deputies and a parole officer went to Fowler’s residence on July 14 for a probation compliance check. Upon arrival, Fowler was providing the probation officer with an oral swab. Officers then searched Fowler’s room located in the central area of the house.
During the search, an officer located two pink glass methamphetamine pipes with both containing a white powdery crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine. The items were found on a small dresser, which was located in the southwest corner of Fowler’s room. Also located was a small black digital scale with the same residue on the surface of the scale. A blue cutoff straw on the middle table next to the dresser where the officer found the pipes.
Also found in the room were multiple torch lighters and sheets of paper with cutouts in them. Multiple medication bottles prescribed to Fowler were also found. Other items included a red cutoff straw along with a large amount of cash in a black leather jacket.
When asked what the scale was used for, Fowler said he used it to confirm the weight of the methamphetamine he was buying but he claimed he was not selling the drug.
When the scale and one of the methamphetamine pipes were field tested, both were found presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The methamphetamine pipe was sent to the Montana State Crime Lab for further testing.
