Channing Eder of Wolf Point is facing two charges in U.S. District Court for the District of Montana in Great Falls. Charges are possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. If convicted, the mandatory minimum sentence is 15 years to life imprisonment, a $20,000 fine and at least 10 years of supervised release. The second count is being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

This year, the Roosevelt County DUI Task Force is offering a scholarship of $500 to any high school senior graduating in 2026 from a school within the boundaries of Roosevelt County. The focus of this year’s scholarship is to write an essay on how the student chooses to live above the influence of alcohol use, drug use, peer pressure, bullying, or any other negative influences around them.

The Governor’s Office of Community Service has announced that nominations for the annual ServeMontana Awards are now open. This award has recognized Montanans from across the state for more than 10 years. This year nominations are open until March 31.
