Dixie Lou Shephard, 81, of Glasgow died June 12, 2026 in Glasgow. Daughter of Ivan and Betty (Funk) Brandt, she was born Friday, April 13, 1945, in Glasgow. A self-described “wartime baby,” she was the oldest of the Brandt clan and was raised on the family farm north of Nashua. Her siblings included Ron, Ginger, Don, Dean, Mike and Tim. Brother Robin died in utero. She graduated from Nashua High School. She lived a colorful and adventurous life. One of her earliest memorable experiences was a 4-H citizenship award trip to Washington, D.C., and New York aboard a Trails West Bus Lines coach with 18 fellow 4-H youth. That journey sparked a lifelong love of travel. Later, she won a trip to Hawaii after being recognized by Wells Fargo Bank as Montana’s Service Manager of the Year. She enjoyed taking several cruises with her mother and sister to the Caribbean, the New England states and twice to Alaska. Her travels also included two mission trips to Guatemala with the Glasgow Evangelical Church, experiences that deeply impacted her and broadened her perspectives on the world. In 2021, she traveled with Alan for three weeks during the Christmas season to North Carolina by way of Kentucky, where they visited the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. It was a trip that brought the Bible vividly to life for her. She loved people and loved volunteering her time in the communities she lived in. While in Helena, she spent many years volunteering as the Sunday school director at Canyon Ferry Road Baptist Church and won an award for her years of service. Heather (Leinani) Corey Friesen, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at her home in Billings on June 3, 2026. Born on December 23, 1951, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jeanne Corey; her brother, Garth; and loving grandparents, Emily and Russell Hansen. Heather is survived by her husband, Pat; son, Chase, and daughter-in-law, Heather; treasured grandchildren, Henzlee, Daxton and Ryett; her twin sister, Shanon (Nanilei); sisters-in-law, Mary (Bob) Buckles and Cathryn (Ken) Wylie; and nephews, Tommy, Kyle and Louie (Mary D.). Heather was a loving wife, amazing mom, cherished sister, unbelievable grandma and a friend to so many. Marvin Eugene Pankratz, 76, of Glasgow died June 13, 2026. He was born in Wolf Point on April 7, 1950, the oldest of six boys to Walter and Elizabeth (Teichroew) Pankratz. He received his early education at Lustre Grade School, graduating from Lustre Bible Academy in 1968. He attended Big Sky Bible, Eastern Montana College and graduated from Northern Montana College earning a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering. While serving on the board of directors for the Pines Youth Camp, he met Colleen Held. They were married on Oct. 8, 1994, in Glasgow. They made their home in Opheim and later in Glasgow. Together, they made the decision to take in children through the foster care program. A farmer and rancher most of his life, he spent 10 years as a conductor for the BNSF railroad. He loved his horses and mules, airplanes and flying. He talked about being part of the Montana Centennial Cattle Drive. He never met a stranger and enjoyed
