The Bainville Bulldogs posted a 62-35 home victory over Culbertson in girls’ basketball action on Friday, Jan. 16. The Bulldogs enjoyed a good start by gaining a 15-5 lead in the first quarter. Hailey Berwick accounted for nine of Bainville’s points. After holding a 27-16 halftime lead, Bainville struck for 18 points in the third quarter for a 45-26 advantage. Berwick scored 11 points

The Culbertson Cowboys stepped up during the stretch to edge Bainville, 5244, in District 2C basketball play on Friday, Jan. 16. Culbertson held a 34-26 lead at the end of the third quarter, but the Bulldogs came as close as three points in the fourth period. Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team earned a 47-33 league win over MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 17. The Red Hawks took a 2420 lead in the first half and then outscored MonDak by a 12-6 margin in the third quarter. Eddie Orozco scored five points in the third period. The Red Hawks added 11 points in the fourth period for the victory. E. Orozco finished with 12 points to lead the Red Hawks.

The Froid/Lake girls’ basketball team pulled off a 3533 victory during a defensive battle in Savage on Thursday, Jan. 15. The Red Hawks trailed by a five-point margin in the fourth quarter, but a three-pointer by Laytyn Davidson closed the gap to 2927 with five minutes remaining.
