Poplar’s boys’ basketball team scored a District 2B victory over Fairview, 69-44, on Friday, Jan. 30. The Indians led 16-12 at the end of the first quarter and 26-23 at the half. Poplar outscored Fairview 15-8 in the third quarter for a 41-31 advantage. Wilder Bearcub scored seven points for the Indians in the period. Poplar put the contest away with 28 points in the final period.

A Brockton man accused of assaulting a man and sexually assaulting a minor on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation admitted to charges on Thursday, Jan. 29, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said.
