Fox Prepares For Future In Engineering Field
Culbertson Senior
From working on puzzles at lunch to competing alongside her teammates, Culbertson High School senior Stella Fox has found plenty of ways to make memories in the school she has attended since kindergarten.
The daughter of Amber and Wes Fox, Stella has grown up in Culbertson with her two younger brothers, Noah and Gavin. As graduation approaches, she is looking toward a future in engineering while finishing a school career filled with athletics, activities and time with friends.
Sports have been a longtime part of Fox’s life. She has played softball for nine years, basketball for eight years and volleyball for six years, along with four years of track and field. Her involvement has kept her busy throughout the seasons, with practices and competitions sharing space on the calendar with schoolwork and extracurricular activities. In track and field, she has qualified for divisionals each year.
Beyond athletics, Fox participates in Business Professionals of America, Honor Society and Explore America. Her involvement in BPA has taken her to state and national competition, while Explore America has included helping with the group’s garage sales.
Fox has also been part of the yearbook since her freshman year, contributing to a publication that preserves the faces, activities and moments of each school year. As she prepares to finish her own high school chapter, those everyday moments are among the ones she remembers most.
One favorite comes from last year, when she and her friends would spend their lunch breaks working on puzzles. Between classes and busy schedules, it was a chance to sit together, visit and work toward finishing something one piece at a time.
Lunch also brings to mind a favorite school meal. If Fox could put one item back on the menu, she would choose riblet sandwiches.
In the classroom, physics is her favorite subject, a fitting interest as she considers what comes after graduation. She plans to pursue a degree in engineering, possibly mechanical engineering. When asked to name a favorite teacher, she picked two: Jennesy Taberna and Elizabeth Stanley.
After spending her school years in Culbertson, Fox will leave with memories that reach from the classroom to the court and field. For the younger students following behind her, she offers a straightforward piece of advice that applies to any busy school schedule: “Don’t procrastinate. Get it done on time.”
