The Roosevelt County Sheri_’s O e responded to 139 calls from June 8-15.
The calls included the following: June 8
Roosevelt County, the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and Wolf Point Police Department responded to a situation regarding a male wandering on and laying on the railroad tracks. FPTDLJ took him to tribal jail.
June 9
Deputies responded to Gracie’s Bar in Bainville where a male suspected another person was selling drugs on the premises. The suspect was reported to be from out of state and was wearing a facemask.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to the Corner Bar in Poplar where a female claimed she was assaulted by another female. FPTDLJ took the report.
June 10
Deputies responded to the Rustic and More business in Poplar where someone broke into a trailer. The investigation continues.
June 11
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to a report of an assault in Poplar’s city limits. An adult woman had been beaten up and was bleeding. An ambulance was paged. The female suspect fled the area.
Deputies responded to Brockton’s tribal housing when an adult female said another female entered her residence and stole items. The reporting party contacted the suspect, who admitted to taking the clothes and o_ered to buy them. Mya Long Knife, 25, Brockton, was arrested for burglary and hindering law enforcement.
June 13
Deputies responded to Culbertson’s city limits for a report of partner or family member assault. Dawson Bowland, 21, Culbertson, was charged with partner or family member assault.
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ at the video store in Poplar where a male wanted on a warrant was spotted. Joshua Magnan, 25, was transported to the tribal jail.
June 14
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with a report of an assault in Poplar. The incident involved four people outside of a residence. A juvenile female was injured in the fight.
