Students Earn Honors At State BPA Conference
Students from Culbertson, Bainville and Froid all enjoyed success at the state Business Professionals of America conference held last week.
Culbertson’s Felixe Becker earned second-place honors in digital media production. Ayden Ator placed second in SQL database and eighth in network administration.
Ivy Colvin placed second in Linux operating system and seventh in health administration concepts. Payton Labatte took third in SQL database and ninth in parli pro open test. Harper Anderson earned second in extemporaneous speech.
Stella Fox took seventh in Linux operating system. Cal Steppler placed ninth in computer technology. Kalia Featherston was seventh in SQL database.
The parli pro team of Ator, Colvin, Labatte, Steppler, Becker and Featherston placed fourth.
Culbertson’s students qualifying for nationals were Colvin, Ator, Labatte, Anderson and Becker.
Bainville’s Isabelle Anderson earned the statesman torch award, second for administrative support team, sixth for integrated office applications and third place for advanced desktop publishing. Rowan Wilson earned the stateman torch award, ninth for advanced interview skills and third for parliamentary procedure team.
Addison Hansen took eighth for advanced interview skills, third for parliamentary procedure team and third for small business management team. Hailey Berwick took third for parliamentary procedure team and third for small business management team. Chandi Johnson was third in parliamentary procedure team and third for small business management team.
CoraMay Theige earned the statesman torch award, second for administrative support team, third for advanced desktop publishing and fourth for advanced desktop publishing. Rylan Iverson was sixth in parliamentary procedure troubleshooting and sixth place in computer network technology. Owen Theige took second in administrative support team. Azure Mahoney was third for parliamentary procedure team and fifth for integrated office applications.
Soren Badt took third for server administration using Microsoft and sixth in device configuration and troubleshooting.
Kalli Harmon was ninth in advanced office systems and procedures and eighth in integrated office applications. Evan Anderson took second in administrative support team. Bella Stein placed eighth in advanced desktop publishing, Charles Johnston was second in computer animation team. Logan Telck was second for computer animation team. Blythe Anderson was ninth in fundamental word processing. Tenley Berwick took fifth in intermediate word processing.
National qualifiers for Bainville were Isabelle Anderson, Theige, Wilson, Hansen, Hailey Berwick, Chandi Johnson, Iverson, Mahoney, Owen Theige, Evan Anderson, Badt, Charles Johnson, Telck and Tenley Berwick.
Bainville’s middle level results were Brooke Wineinger in sixth for human resource exploration, ninth for graphic design promotion and second for presentation team; Blake Reed in fifth for human resource exploration and fourth for prepared speech; Scarlet Mahoney in fourth place for graphic design promotion; Sophie Portra in fourth for website design team and fourth place for presentation team; Eleanor Iverson in fourth for website design team, fifth for entrepreneurship and four for presentation team; Tannen Traeger in seventh for word processing and second for presentation team; Carly Robertus in second for presentation team; and Madison Blakely in fourth of presentation team, second for human resource exploration and third for extemporaneous speech.
Froid’s Jordyn Breuer took first in advanced office systems and procedures. Leah Murray earned first in business law and ethics.
Vala Gregor took third in ethics and professionalism. Lilly Johnson was fifth in advanced spreadsheet applications. Joelle Davidson took 10th in intermediate word processing. Keira Stentoft was 10th in legal office procedures.
Placing in advanced word processing were Haven Martensen in third, Stentoft in sixth and Murray in 10th, Placing in advanced office systems and procedures were Johnson in fifth, Murray in seventh and Rylan Young in 10th.
Johnson took fifth and Owen Logan was ninth in digital media production.
