Senior Profile Harrison Enjoying Switch To Culbertson High School
Gavyn Harrison is a member of Culbertson High School’s senior class after moving to the community from Laurel prior to this school year.
“It’s pretty good,” Harrison of Culbertson. “It’s kind of small.”
Harrison likes that the roads don’t have much traffic on them.
He is involved in the school’s FFA program. His favorite event is extemporaneous speaking.
“It gets you out of your comfort zone to talk in front of people,” Harrison explained.
He has also competed in farm business management, mechanics, meat evaluation and job interview.
Harrison has been involved in FFA since the sixth grade in both Laurel and Park City. He likes meeting new people and traveling through FFA.
His career plan is becoming a ranch hand because he likes working with animals and being outside.
He will attend Montana State University in Billings to study diesel mechanics.
Harrison’s hobbies include hanging out with friends, working, night drives, fishing and hunting.
His favorite class is science because he enjoys learning about different chemicals. He doesn’t have a favorite teacher.
“I’m very happy in Culbertson,” Harrison said.
