Recipients Announced For Nyquist Grants
The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is excited to announce the recipients of the 2026 grant awards in the communities of Bainville, Culbertson, Froid and Brockton.
The recipients are:
• Brockton School District: $3,100 for the Missoula Children’s Theatre Red Truck Tour Program.
• Culbertson High School FFA; $2,000 toward a greenhouse kit.
• Culbertson High School FFA; $1,500 toward sending students and their advisor to the national FFA meeting.
• Culbertson Women’s Club; $2,000 toward picnic tables for the pool complex.
• Froid Public School; $899.90 for tools for the school’s new automotive mechanic training program.
• Golden Circle Senior Citizens Center, Bainville; $1,350 for an ice maker, a beverage refrigerator, a food heater, a food warmer and a smart TV.
The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is a family foundation formed in 2004 to provide small grants for local initiatives of nonprofit organizations and groups in eastern Roosevelt County, as well as in New Paltz, N.Y. In addition, it funds a yearly essay contest in Culbertson and Froid and scholarships in Bainville.
Grant applications for projects to be funded in 2027 will be due by Nov. 1, 2026, but are usually submitted in September. The application form can be found on the website www.nyquistfdtn.org.
Also those who wish to support our cause may give donations at any time — also on the website — to the general fund or earmarked for the grant, essay or scholarship programs.
