Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 138 calls from Dec. 29 to Jan 5.
The calls included the following: Dec. 29
Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to Tande’s Grocery in Poplar where a man was observed who is on the warrant list. Troy Brown Jr., 30, was arrested on authority of a tribal warrant.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to the Poplar tribal area for a report of a man walking the streets and carrying a machete. The male couldn’t be located.
Deputies responded to The Welcome Stop in Bainville regarding a female who came into the store and went into the restroom. It was noticed that the restroom was very smokey after she left. It is believed that the female was smoking meth in the restroom. Deputies performed a search but couldn’t locate the female.
Dec. 30
Deputies received a report of a structure fire in Bainville. It turned out that the new house owners lit a log in the wood stove. The chimney needs to be cleaned. The fire department wasn’t needed.
Dec. 31
Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department and FPTDLJ at the Homestead Inn where employees found drugs and drug paraphernalia in a guest’s room that was being cleaned.
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ on a possible assault on Custer Street in Wolf Point. Two suspects reportedly had clubs. FPTDLJ arrested two males.
Jan. 1
Deputies assisted Wolf Point Police at Dad’s Bar regarding a report of a male bothering customers. The male took off walking west.
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ regarding a fight at Town Pump in Wolf Point. Jatonna Fourstar, 45, was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to tribal jail.
Jan. 2
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to U.S. Highway 2 in Wolf Point for a report of a male and female screaming at each other. Zachary White Hawk, 37, was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to tribal jail.
Jan. 3
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to a report of a couple fighting on a street in Wolf Point. FPTDLJ arrested Phoebe Jensen, 38, on authority of a warrant from Valley County.
Jan. 4
Deputies responded to the Bainville School for a report of a person who suffered an injury in the gym.
Jan. 5
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ for a report of a possible theft from a vehicle on Dawson Street in Wolf Point. FPTDLJ arrested an adult male and took him to tribal jail.
In addition, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city, 31; Wolf Point rural, five; Wolf Point FPHA areas, 20: Poplar city, 20; Poplar rural, one; Poplar FPHA Airport Addition, three. Poplar FPHA, all other, six; Culbertson town, 18; Culbertson rural, six; Bainville rural, six; Brockton town, three; Brockton rural, one; Fort Kipp, one; Frazer, two; total, 138.
