Cassandra Dette Norman, 30, of Sidney was sentenced to the state prison after making the plea of guilty to sexually related felonies involving minors. District judge Scott Herring sentenced Norman to 40 years with 30 years suspended. She received credit for 412 days for time served. Froid’s FFA members fared well during the district livestock judging and vet science competition held in Plentywood on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The varsity livestock judging team earned first place at the meet. Individuals placing were Avrie Nordlund in fourth, Ally Johnson in 10th, Lilly Johnson in 11th and Cody Olson in 19th. Plans are for the funds to abate hazardous substances and conduct a partial demolition to facilitate the redevelopment

Now in its sixth year, the Women’s Day Retreat attracted a good crowd again on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Gospel Fellowship Church in Wolf Point. Diane Andrews is the founder of the Women Finding Rest and Renew through Christ centered retreats. She said the twice a year events have between 80-100 participants each time.
