Author Wayne Adams is trying to spread the word regarding the crisis of missing indigenous women in the United States. Adams has recently released his book, The Odyssey of Amanda Iron Bear. Adams’ story takes place on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation and deals with a 17-year-old indigenous girl who is kidnapped by human traffickers. “It’s about the message, not the messenger,”

Gymnasts Place At Jamestown Meet


The Winter Escape gymnastics meet was held in Jamestown, N.D. on Feb. 15-16. Eastern Montana Gymnastics had 11 event championships in their age groups. In bronze, River Darby placed first on vault and floor out of all 51 gymnasts. Bainville’s senior Elsie Wilson and junior Hailey Berwick have each been voted to the Class C All-State girls’ basketball team. Wilson and Berwick are each repeat selections from last year. The Culbertson High School track program features 25 athletes including 16 boys this campaign.
