Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 113 calls from March 24 to March 31.
The calls included the following: Deputies received a report from an adult male in Wolf Point that juveniles were throwing fireworks at him.
Deputy/coroner went to the Poplar hospital for a report of an attended death. The adult male died from natural causes.
Deputies responded to Brockton for a complaint from an adult female that her boyfriend tried to sell the family’s TV. There was also a tribal warrant out for the male. Landes Green, 42, was arrested on authority of the warrant.
Deputies responded to a report of a theft north of Wolf Point. Reported missing from the location were heavy equipment, batteries and other items. A list of missing items was compiled. The case is still under investigation.
Deputies responded to Poplar where a group of males were reported fighting. A possible dog bite took place. Individuals fled the area before deputies arrived.
May 1
An adult male with a warrant turned himself in at the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office after being advised to by his probation officer.
Deputies and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice received a report of threats being made in Brockton. There was a fight between two males. One of the males was taken to the hospital.
Deputies arrested Devyn Lizotte of Brockton on authority of a tribal warrant.
May 2
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Main Street Grocery in Poplar for a report of counterfeit bills being passed. Two individuals left the scene. A warrant request was made to tribal authorities.
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of an assault. A male suffered an injury that he said came from being hit by a baseball bat. EMS took the male to the Culbertson hospital.
May 3
Deputies responded to Gracie’s Bar in Bainville where a male was abandoned by his friends. He was transported to his residence.
Deputies responded to the Legion Bar in Poplar for a reported fight. A male suffered a cut to his face in the fight. Parties were interviewed about the incident. Henry Youpee, 22, was arrested for an aggravated assault charge.
May 4
Deputies responded to Bainville after power pole lines broke due to strong winds. Deputies provided traffic control until Sheridan Electric came to make repairs.
