Jerry James Mooney, 85, died March 20, 2025. He was born Oct. 31, 1939, and grew up in Watertown, S.D. He enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and spent the next 20 years proudly serving his country. On Nov. 14, 1968, he married Barbara and became a father to Lori and Dana. When he retired, he moved his family to Wolf Point. He worked as a manager at Buttrey's until he and Barb moved and made Billings their home in order to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy; mother, Mildred; and brother, Ron. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Lori and Dana; and numerous grandchildren

Jacob Andrew Shoots Jr., 73, of Poplar died March 17, 2025. He was born Nov. 11, 1951, to Jacob Shoots Sr and Marian Left Hand Thunder-Shoots. He attended school in Brockton and was active in basketball and track. While living on the badlands in Brockton, He enjoyed riding horses and had his own horse, Socky Boy. With sibling and cousins, he roamed all over the badlands and went sliding down on all the big hills. He enjoyed going hunting with his dad when he was younger. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1969 and then went on to work at West Electronics, then A& S Industries back when they were manufacturing guns for the Army. He lived in Poplar, then moved to Moline. Ill., where he worked as a welder and took up Tae Kwon Do. He then returned to Poplar and attended the NAES Community College, then the Fort Peck Community College and graduated with an AA degree in education. He started working at the Fort Peck Commodities until he retired in late 2000s. He lived in Poplar and later in life moved to Wolf Point. He was the fourth of eight children born to Jacob Sr. and Marian. His siblings include Elvera, Rose Marie. Virgil Charles. Isabelle, Alice, Angeline and Hattie. Dennis Lee Lambert, 70, of Livingston, formerly of Culbertson died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Mont. He was born to Clarence and Emma (Moran) Lambert on Dec. 20, 1954, in Culbertson. He attended school in Culbertson, graduating high school in 1973. While in school, he played football and basketball. After graduation, he attended the College of Forestry & Conservation in Missoula. Following graduation, he worked for the forest service in the Pryor Mountains. He also worked in the gold mines in Elko, Nev. He was a skilled carpenter and took great pride in his work. This experience led him to various construction jobs in Trenton, N.D., with the Housing Authority. He also worked as a carpenter and held positions as a steel siding specialist in Bozeman, Missoula and Livingston. Due to a job-related injury, he went back to college in Billings to obtain his CAD certification. From this knowledge, he was able to obtain a position at a printing company in Livingston. Many

Cherie Granbois, 65, died March 24, 2025, at Francis Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. She was born Oct. 26, 1959, in Poplar and was raised by her mother until 1992 when she was transferred to the Mitchell Group Home in Glasgow. She worked in the laundry room at Milk River Activity Center. She is survived by her mother, Edna; sister, Erna Granbois of Poplar; and two brothers, Ernie Jr. and Lawrence of Poplar. She will always be remembered as a sweet and loving daughter and friend. Her funeral service was held Monday, March 31, at the
