Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 91 calls from May 12-19.

The calls included the following: May 12

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp after an adult male called on behalf of female relative regarding an individual causing a disturbance. No arrests were made.

Deputies responded to Brockton after an adult female reported that a juvenile female refused to come back inside the house. After the juvenile came home, she admitted to officers that she had been drinking alcohol. The juvenile was cited for unlawful consumption of an intoxicating beverage while being underage.

May 13

Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with the report of a death in the Wolf Point area. An adult female apparently committed suicide.

Deputies assisted the Montana Highway Patrol and FPTDLJ when someone reported that someone in a vehicle by the mouth of the river in Poplar fired a gunshot in the air. Law enforcement couldn’t locate the vehicle.

May 14

Deputies responded to a fight in Poplar’s city limit where four people were in the street. A female claimed she was kicked. She also had bruises around her eye. Theodore Youngman, 33, was arrested for partner or family member assault and bribery.

An adult female, Kayla Tonasket, 21, St. Marie, was arrested in Culbertson on the authority of a district court warrant.

May 17

Deputies responded to Poplar when a male reported that an adult female was banging on his door. He didn’t want her at his residence.

May 18

Deputies, FPTDLJ and Poplar ambulance responded after a female said she was stabbed in Poplar. She was transported for medical treatment. A juvenile female was arrested by FPTDLJ.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s report activity statistics for the past week were: Wolf Point city limits, seven; Wolf Point FPHA area, one; Poplar city limits, 16; Poplar rural, two; Poplar FPHA all other, four; Culbertson town, 20; Culbertson rural, nine; Bainville town, three; Bainville rural, nine; Brockton town, 12; Brockton rural, two; Fort Kipp, four; total, 91.
