Deputies and the Montana Highway Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle/train crash near County Road 1007. The two juvenile occupants of the pickup avoided major injuries. The cab of the pickup was heavily damaged. The train sustained damage to its plow.

The Wolf Point City Council held its regular meeting April 21. Two new hires were approved for the Wolf Point Police Department in new patrol officer Trevin Boysun and new animal control officer Dominic Ahneman.
Longtime police chief Jeff Harada has been appointed interim administrative chief for what is expected to be a three-month stint while a search for a new police chief is conducted.

Wolf Point High School senior Quiarrah Rios has demonstrated her positive feelings about Wolf Point with flying colors.
Rios was the winner of the recent essay contest sponsored by Bread of Life Ministry. By earning the top honor for the contest opened to high school juniors and seniors, Rios was awarded a $100 cash prize.
Entries had a limit of 300 words. Topic was “Why I am optimistic about

The Wolf Point Community Organization approved its annual budget during its meeting held on Monday, April 21. The budget has been increased to $163,000 for the 2025-2026 year. Treasurer Jason Hamilton explained that about $80,000 is “carry over” funds from the last two years. WPCO will then request $80,000 from Silver Wolf Casino for the remaining amount.
The reason provided for the increase
