The Beacon Bible Camp annual meeting was held June 15, led by chairman Joel Hilkemann.

Mike Andrews, pastor of the Gospel Fellowship Church, gave the devotional, listing four principles from Joshua chapter 1. “The first principle is to stay in God’s Word. Joshua had incredibly big shoes to fill following Moses’ leadership. A bit like today, they had seven established enemy nations facing them.” “Even in the face of an uncertain future, life is about doing the basics well. A deeper, more intimate relationship never happens without the Word of God. God promises the future will be prosperous if we OBEY the Word of God.”

The second principle is “to set up a plan prayerfully, rather than be anxious or worry. It is possible to plan and not implement, or to plan and hold too tightly to that plan. God is a Master Planner. Planning is a godly act, as long as it is saturated by the Word of God and through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.” “ Joshua 1:6-7 says ‘Get Ready’; Joshua 1:1011

says ‘Get your provisions ready.’ In some measure, the future belongs to the people who prepare for it.”

Principle #3: “Be Strong and Courageous. We read it three times in chapter 1. Our country desperately needs leaders who step out without fear in an example of trust in God.”

Principle #4: “Stand in the Presence of God. Joshua 1:5-9 promises ‘As I was with Moses, I will be with you.’ There is nothing like God’s Presence to bolster our confidence and weather any storm.”

He gave thanks for the many years of faithful service, by the volunteers and prayed for God “to give a vision to plan, strength and courage to implement plans [to further the work of Bible Camp] and to lean into God’s Presence.”

Marilyn Hilkemann gave the treasurer’s report. Seth Runner gave a report on the teen camp with pictures. He recommended that graduating seniors also be included and commended the online registration for planning purposes. Steve Trimble gave Dan Marasco’s director report on the junior high for 2024 and Dawson Olfert gave the report on the 2024 junior camp.

The junior age had 44 campers, from Circle, Miles City, Glasgow, Billings, Bozeman and Lustre. There were 73 campers in junior high in 2024, with Marasco and Justin Skillman co-directing. Brad Spalding and Dan Hoverstal of Oak Hills Bible College were the speakers.

Joel Hilkemann gave the trustee report, which addressed renovating the bathrooms and adding a volleyball court. Pastor Frank Lenihan nominated Bob Brown to replace Clayton Zerbe on the board, whose term was up. He was elected as the MB Church’s representative on the camp board.

The 2025 teen camp’s theme was “Rescued” – Rescued to Love, Rescued for Honesty, Rescued to be Obedient, Rescued to be Confident and Rescued to be Compassionate. Pastor Seth Runner of Glasgow led these Bible sessions. There were 39-40 campers.
